Shane Ray
CEO and President of Hometown Roofing & Restorations
Hometown Roofing & Restorations is proud to have Shane Ray as the driving force behind its
leadership. With over 25 years of experience in the business world, Shane has built a solid
foundation from his years in the mortgage industry, which led him to venture into home flipping
and eventually establish Hometown Roofing & Restorations. His expertise spans multiple
sectors, giving him a unique insight into the needs of the community and the construction
industry.
A lifelong resident of Birmingham, Alabama, Shane has spent 51 years fostering connections
with the local community. He and his wife, Holly, have raised three children—Austin, Maci, and
Drey—and are deeply committed to giving back. Shane leads a Men's Small Group at Church of
the Highlands, while also being an active member of two other groups focused on marriage and
personal growth.
Shane’s passion for hard work and dedication is evident in everything he does. He believes that
consistent effort and determination lead to lasting success, a principle that has guided his
journey and fueled his career. His focus now is on leaving a legacy that extends beyond
business, creating a work environment where his employees can build careers that last a
lifetime.
When not overseeing operations at Hometown Roofing & Restorations, Shane enjoys spending
time with his family, especially on vacations to St. Thomas or cruising to new destinations.
Though the demands of his career make it challenging to find free time, he cherishes the
memories made with his loved ones, and that serves as his motivation to continue pushing
forward.
With a clear vision for the future, Shane is committed to using his platform to serve the
community, providing both exceptional service and meaningful employment for those around
him.
Curtis Freeman
VP of Operations at Hometown Roofing
Hometown Roofing is proud to have Curtis Freeman as our Director of Operations. Born in
Anniston, AL, Curtis grew up traveling the Southern States due to his father’s career in retail
management. His family eventually settled in Birmingham, where his father ran a full-service gas
station, giving Curtis a firsthand appreciation for the impact small businesses have on local
communities.
With over 30 years of experience in management, sales, and distribution, Curtis brings a wealth
of knowledge to his role. He has managed large corporations as well as small local businesses
in industries such as B2B sales, distribution management, and electrical maintenance. Over the
past 10 years, Curtis has helped manage and run a multi-million-dollar local business, learning
how a well-run, customer-focused small business can thrive in a competitive market. His goal is
to create a family-oriented business that delivers exceptional value, affordability, and
transparency to the community.
Curtis is married to his wife, Stephanie, and together they have five grown children and one
16-year-old daughter, along with three granddaughters and one on the way. Family is at the core
of Curtis’s life, and he’s instilled strong family values in his children. His passions include home
improvement projects, hunting, fishing, spending time with his grandkids, watching his children
play sports, and cruising with his wife and friends.
With his extensive management experience, dedication to customer service, and commitment to
building a trustworthy, family-oriented business, Curtis is a perfect fit for Hometown Roofing. We
are excited to have him on board to help lead our operations and continue providing exceptional
service to our clients.
Ryan Jennings
A Valuable Asset to Hometown Roofing
Hometown Roofing is excited to welcome Ryan Jennings to our team as Sales and Marketing
expert. With 45 years in Trussville, Alabama, Ryan is deeply connected to the community. He is
a devoted father to his 16-year-old son, Gage, and actively coaches youth soccer with Trussville
United and Alabama FC. Ryan has also served in youth and music programs at Parkway
Christian Fellowship, Center Point First Baptist, and ONEeighty Church.
With over 25 years of experience in B2B Sales and Marketing, Ryan has held roles like Senior
Account Manager and VP of Sales and Marketing, managing multi-million-dollar budgets for
national brands. His consultative approach focuses on finding the best solutions, creating
strategies, and ensuring 100% fulfillment, turning clients into lifelong advocates.
Driven by a desire to provide for his son and build a legacy, Ryan aims to mentor the next
generation of professionals and cultivate relationships that go beyond business. His knowledge,
work ethic, and community involvement make him an invaluable part of the Hometown Roofing
team, and we’re thrilled to have him on board.
Jeff Treadwell
A Key Player at Hometown Roofing
Hometown Roofing is proud to have Jeff Treadwell join our team as Project Manager. A lifelong resident of Odenville, Alabama, Jeff has spent 53 years in the community and brings a wealth of experience and dedication to the table.
Married for 30 years to his wife Amanda, Jeff is a proud father to two daughters, Lydia and Macy. His commitment to family extends into his community, where he has coached girls’ basketball and softball. He is also an active member of Victory Church in Pell City.
With 30 years in customer service and a diverse background in various trades, Jeff’s experience is invaluable. He is a graduate of St. Clair County High School and studied HVAC at a vocational school. He also spent 20 years driving commercially across the Southeast before launching his own landscape business, which he has successfully run for the past 9 years. This broad skill set makes him exceptionally qualified to manage projects with both precision and a focus on quality.
What drives Jeff each day is his desire to provide for his family and leave a lasting legacy for his children, ensuring they have a brighter future. His strong work ethic, experience in customer service, and hands-on knowledge of home services make him an ideal fit for Hometown Roofing. We are thrilled to have Jeff on our team, where his expertise will help us deliver top-notch service and exceptional results for our customers.
